A Good Girl

That wasn't me when I was 15. Lord knows, I was a hard teenager (sorry mom and dad!).

I have to say, I am blessed to have K has my daughter. To think that she will begin driving next month absolutely freaks me out. It's not that I'm really scared about it ... I just can't believe it. She went to her first prom a couple of weeks ago, too. It's just all so surreal.

But, she is a good girl. Does she get Straight A's? No. Is she attitude-free at all times? No.

But, she is a loving sister. She {fairly} faithfully attends Wednesday night youth services, even though we are not attending a church right now. Although she is boy crazy, she seems to be pretty level-headed in that department. She likes to dress trendy (but not too trendy) and would love to wear a pair of short-shorts. But, when it comes down to it, she dresses so tastefully and classy when left to herself. She actually likes to spend time with her parents, and even seems disappointed when we don't want to spend time with her. She loves to hang out with her friends, but they are doing things that make a parent happy like going to the movies or a baseball game.

A friend of theirs has been doing a Countdown to Summer in pictures, and here is her entry for "49 days left".

She is very creative and likes to have fun.

And she is beautiful!

Although there are days that I would like to pull her ears off, for the most part I thank God that she is the girl that she is. (All I have to do is look around at most of the other teenage girls and see how blessed I am.)
